The specifications for a Samsung Exynos 9710 SoC have been recently discovered. The phone will be equipped with 8nm process chip just like the high-end Exynos 9820 found in the international options of the Samsung Galaxy S10. Ice universe shared on the Chinese social network Weibo about the details of Samsung Exynos 9710 chip. It is expected that the successors to 2018’s Exynos 9610 SoC will be used in midrange smartphones.

The smartphone will be using 8nm manufacturing technology, which would help making it more energy-efficient than last year’s Exynos 9610. The Samsung Exynos 9710 will allegedly have eight processing cores, consisting of four Cortex-A76 (2.1 GHz) cores and four Cortex-A55 (1.7 GHz) cores. It has an octa-core chip with 10nm predecessor, but it features four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores.

The GPU component of the leaked SoC is supposed to have a Mali-G76 MP8 with a base clock rate of 650 MHz according to the sources. The Mali-G76 GPU is also present in Samsung Exynos 9820 but exploits the MP12 model, therefore it has 12 cores for graphics processing in contrast to the eight cores of the claimed Exynos 9710’s GPU.
